The Jonn P.B.R. DuClau Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a senior graduating from
Scituate High School in Scituate, RI and/or Coventry High School in Coventry, RI and/or Ponagansett High School in Scituate, RI. The applicants must be an unmarried dependent or direct family member (son, daughter, niece, nephew, sister, brother, grandson, or granddaughter, etc.) of an OIF or OEF Veteran*, who in the fall will be enrolled in a degree, vocational or technical certificate program. Applicants must have demonstrated community service involvement and be in good academic standing. The deadline for scholarship applications is May 1, 2024.

Applicants will be notified no later than June 1, 2023. If chosen for one of our scholarships, you and your parents are invited as our guests to our annual Bike Run luncheon held in August 2024. Scholarship Requirements:

All Items Must Be Present for Application to be considered
– Community Service Record
– Current Academic Record with G.P.A.
– Family’s Gross Adjusted Income for the year 2023
– Letter of Recommendation
– An essay response to the following:
a. How has your family member’s military service affected your life and your future
educational endeavors?
b. Tell us about a personal achievement that makes you proud.
c. Describe a meaningful volunteer experience.
